An Open Letter from the Brandon Valley Baseball Association -
Dear SDABA and fans,
It’s been a wonderful 12 days at First National Bank Field and Legion Field. The BVBA was honored and humbled when we were selected to host the 2025 State Tournament. We had big shoes to fill. Mitchell does a fabulous job hosting this South Dakota Bucket List event. There are many thanks to go around.
First, thank you to the commission for selecting us to host the State Tournament. You took a chance on us. Hopefully we lived up to what we promised. We enjoyed working with the commission to make the tournament great. You entrusted us with a tournament that has a great past and history. Hopefully we were able to add to that history. Thank you!
To the players and coaches. It was awesome to work with all your teams. There’s many talented players playing amateur baseball in South Dakota. The games were great. So many great plays, top line pitching and talented hitters. From opening night to Championship Sunday the play on the field was fun to watch. Congratulations to the Harrisburg Woodies and Parkston Devil Rays on winning the championship in their respective classes. State Championships aren’t easy and are never forgotten.
To the great fans of South Dakota amateur baseball. Thank you for showing up in droves. You truly are what makes this tournament great. Your passion for your teams is awesome. It was a joy to interact with you at our beverage stands, food stands and throughout the park. It was fun to serve you the past 12 days!!
To the umpires of South Dakota Amateur Baseball. Thank you for working with us in Brandon and Valley Springs. We greatly appreciate your efforts. Umpiring is not an easy job. Especially when the stakes are so high. There are many great people with great stories umpiring these games. Thank you for what you do.
Thanks to everyone who attended the tournament. We enjoyed having everyone in our communities. Hopefully you enjoyed it as much as we did. THANK YOU!
